Shine stands out from other painting spray guns with its unique properties and strengths. The design incorporates atomization technology, ensuring a smooth and even spray without any unwanted drops. This feature, coupled with the best tooling technology, allows for precise detailing and flawless finishes. Additionally, the gun is coated with a Teflon non-stick surface, making it easy to clean and maintain.
Ergonomics played a crucial role in the development of Shine. The gun is designed to be lightweight and easy to handle, ensuring comfort and ease of use for professionals. Its vibrant and colorful selection adds a fashionable touch to this professional tool, making it a standout in the design category.
Shine is made using die-cast metal and features a Teflon coating. This combination of materials ensures durability and longevity, making it a reliable tool for any painting project. The gun utilizes H.V.L.P (High Volume Low Pressure) atomization technology, making it suitable for topcoat and varnishes.
Technical specifications of Shine include a normal nozzle size of 1.3/1.4mm, an optimal working pressure of 2.0bar/29psi, and a maximum working pressure of 3.0bar/43psi. The pattern width is approximately 33cm, and the optimal spray distance is 17cm. With an air consumption of 14~16cfm and a cup capacity of 600ml, Shine is designed to meet the needs of professionals in the automotive and painting industries.
The Shine project took around 4 months to complete and was showcased at the Canton Fair in Guangzhou. The design team, led by Nicola Zanetti, included Simone Madella, Federico Gonzales Bosque, Axel Ronconi, and Ran Peleg. The project was primarily developed in Shanghai, with remote support from the Argentinean designer.
Recognized for its outstanding creativity and ingenuity, Shine was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Hardware, Power, and Hand Tools Design category in 2020. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon designs that exemplify excellence in art, science, design, and technology. Shine's technical and creative prowess, coupled with its contribution to improving quality of life, solidifies its position as an iconic design in the industry.
